BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena on Sunday reiterated his demand for cancellation of the recently conducted Rajasthan Eligibility Test (REET), 2021 for teachers, alleging that the paper was leaked ahead of the examination. He alleged that before the examination in Sawai Madhopur district, not only the question papers but also the answer sheets were leaked.
Meena said question papers can be leaked from exam centers but leaking of answer sheets is not possible without the participation of officials of the privacy wing of the Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), which conducted the examinations across the state last Sunday.
There is evidence that both the paper and the answer sheets were leaked before the commencement of the examination. He told reporters here that the exam centers cannot have answer sheets and they can be leaked only with the involvement of officials of the secrecy wing. Meena said that it is the demand of REET candidates that the exam should be canceled and a CBI inquiry should be ordered.
The state government suspended one RAS officer, two RPS officers, one head constable, two constables and more than a dozen personnel of the education department after several irregularities and negligence in the conduct of the examination came to light. The exam, for which 16.51 lakh candidates had enrolled, was conducted to recruit over 30,000 teachers.
