A fresh controversy broke out between Maharashtra’s ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday after a BJP worker posted an objectionable tweet calling Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s wife “Marathi Rabri Devi”.

The tweet was posted by Jiten Gajaria, who is said to be part of the BJP’s social media cell and has been called for questioning by the Mumbai Police.

Earlier on Thursday, he was summoned by the Crime Branch CID-Cyber ​​Cell for his objectionable tweet that created a ruckus in the political and social media circles.

On January 4, Gajaria posted a tweet with a picture of Rashmi U Thackeray, titled: “Marathi Rabri Devi”, referring to the wife of Rashtriya Janata Dal president and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad.

Rabri Devi made global headlines when she was named as the Chief Minister of Bihar by Lalu Prasad, who was forced to step down after his involvement in the fodder scam.

Despite facing ridicule for being a political novice, he ruled the state for eight years.
