BLACKPINK cast members are gearing up for their Hollywood debut with Jenny the Idol. After months of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Lily-Rose, daughter of K-pop singer Johnny Depp, will appear on the show alongside Depp and singer The Weeknd. The Idol teaser was released over the weekend and featured Jenny in the blink of an eye.
Produced by Sam Levinson, the creator of The Weeknd and Euphoria, The Idol revolves around the dark life of a pop singer (Lily) in America. She falls for a cult leader (played by The Weeknd) and their romance shakes her life. The teaser offered a glimpse of the dark and twisted world that awaits us. As a pop singer, Lily is seen at its heart – the practice of becoming the biggest pop star of all time while dealing with the life to come with.
while YG Entertainment Jenny’s involvement in the series is yet to be confirmed, with many fans seeing the singer in a scene with Lily. The teaser description reads: “From the sick and twisted minds of Sam Levinson and The Weeknd, starring Lily-Rose Depp, #THEIDOL is coming soon to HBO Max.”
