Now Maharashtra Lokayukta Justice VM Kanade has taken cognizance of the matter and said that BMC is delaying the demolition of Big B’s bungalow citing lame excuses. The Lokayukta in its recent order that the BMC should issue notices on the delay to the Deputy Engineer (Roads) Western Suburbs, the Lokayukta said, “The reason for not carrying out the demolition by the BMC does not appear to be correct.” , Whenever a road widening project is taken up, substantial budgetary provision is made by the BMC for implementation. It is obvious that BMC is delaying the demolition of the boundary wall by giving a lame excuse. The order further said that ‘it is a matter of common sense that no demolition work is carried out during monsoon after 30th May. So the work will be delayed for at least one more year. Notably, a corporator had filed his complaint Maharashtra Lokayukta In October 2021 in which he said that in the year 2019, the BMC team had demolished the boundary wall of the building complex adjacent to Big B’s bungalow and occupied a part of their land for road widening, but the actor’s bungalow was was left untouched. Meanwhile, on the work front, Big B is busy with several projects. He will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s much-awaited film ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt. He will also act in films like ‘Jhund’, ‘Mayday’ and ‘Alvida’.
