BMW IX Electric SUV Price in India: BMW launches IX Electric SUV in India, priced at Rs 1.16 crore | – times of India

New Delhi: Germany’s luxury car maker bmw India on Monday launched its technology flagship all-electric SUV iX at a starting price of Rs 1.16 crore, the first of three electric vehicles to roll out in the country in the next 6 months. The car will be imported into India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and can be booked through BMW dealerships in major metros of the country as well as shop.bmw.in. BMW Group India said in a statement.
Delivery will start from early April 2022.
Commenting on the launch, BMW Group President of India Vikram Pawah said, “Born Electric, the BMW IX Embraces the principles of sustainability throughout its lifecycle, from production to use to end-of-life, making extensive use of natural and recyclable materials. It is much more than a car – it is a modern way of life…”
The company said the IX is the first BMW with no numeral in its designation, with the ‘IX’ being the first BMW electric all-wheel-drive vehicle (SAV – Sports Activity Vehicle).
It is powered by two electric motors for the front and rear axles and is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds with an output of 326 hp.
As an introductory offer, the BMW IX will come with a complimentary Smart BMW Wallbox Charger. It can be integrated at home to enable safe and convenient charging of up to 11kW. The 11kW AC charger can charge to 100 percent in about 7 hours and delivers 100 . can add kilometer Range in 2.5 hours, it added.
Via 150 kW DC charger, it can charge up to 80 percent in 31 minutes and 95 km additional range in 10 minutes, while with 50 kW DC charger, 80 in 73 minutes with 100 km additional range Percentage may be charged. 21 minutes.
The company said it will also install fast chargers at all touchpoints across its dealer network in 35 cities in India.
BMW said its IX comes with a standard two-year warranty for unlimited kilometers. The batteries are covered by a warranty valid up to eight years or 1.6 lakh kms.
Last month, the company announced that it will launch three electric vehicles in India over the next six months to accelerate its electric mobility journey in the country.
The IX will be followed by an all-electric mini luxury hatchback in three months and the BMW i4, an all-electric sedan in six months.
