A written petition has been filed in the Supreme Court by students from more than fifteen states across the country, seeking an alternative assessment method for the upcoming class 10 and 12 board exams instead of conducting physical exams.
The petition claimed that various state boards, including the Central Bureau of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, are going ahead with the physical examination despite the current COVID-19 situation.

As LiveLaw reports, the students have filed the petition through child rights activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai and the Students’ Union of Odisha. The petitioners have also sought the SC’s direction to all the boards to declare the results on time and opt for the improvement examination due to the various challenges faced by them.
“The students are dissatisfied with such behavior of the state government and other boards and are worried and worried about their future and career,” the petition said.
