The Bombay High Court on Wednesday granted interim protection from arrest to BJP leader Prasad Lad in an FIR against him by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) relating to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation contract.

Mr Lad informed the court on Wednesday that he was not aware of the FIR till the notice was issued to him on December 21, 2020. However, the court said, “We state that if the response shows that it was after the notice was served, this court may consider withdrawing the order of interim relief.”
