A Class IX student allegedly committed suicide after losing in a PUBG game in Krishna district on Sunday.
13-year-old V. Prabhu, a resident of AP Housing Board Colony in the town, played the game with his friends, which has been banned. Unable to digest his failure in online games, he reportedly resorted to the extreme step by hanging himself from the ceiling in his house.
The boy’s father V. Shanti Raju is a politician.
Machilipatnam Deputy Superintendent of Police Masoom Basha said Chilakalapudi police registered a case under section 174 CrPC (suspicious death) and started investigation.
