Lara’s innings included 62 fours and 10 sixes. To make things more interesting, Lara scored a historic 501* in just 427 balls.

After Durham declared the first innings at 556/8, Lara took charge, batting first. To bat at No. 3, with the scoreboard reading 8/1, the great batsman played to perfection. Courtesy of that knock, Warwickshire posted a mammoth total of 810/4 and the match ended in a draw.
