Indian men’s hockey team midfielder, Vivek Sagar Prasad, who has been selected for the (International Hockey Federation) FIH Rising Star of the Year Award 2020/21, on Tuesday said it was a “surreal feeling” to be nominated for the second time. in the same category.
The youngster was instrumental in the team’s bronze medal-winning achievement at the Tokyo Olympics. Speaking about the feeling of becoming an Olympic medalist at the age of 21, Prasad said, “It really hasn’t sunk in yet. I still can’t believe that I am part of the Olympic medal winning team. It is every athlete’s dream and I am really blessed to be able to fulfill this dream at the age of 21.”
This is the second time Prasad has been nominated for the honor after winning the FIH Rising Star of the Year Award in 2019/2020.
