BSE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashish Chauhan said on Wednesday that the number of registered investor accounts on the BSE has reached 10 crore.
In a tweet, Chouhan said, “@bseindia (BSE) reaches a milestone of 10 crore (100 million) registered investor accounts. Congratulations India!”.
BSE, formerly Bombay Stock Exchange, added 1 crore investor accounts in just 91 days. BSE had crossed the 9 crore investor accounts mark on December 15, 2021.
This is the second fastest increase in the number of registered investor accounts on BSE. The fastest growth was from 8 crores to 9 crores. BSE had achieved this milestone in 85 days.
Market capitalization of companies listed on BSE remained on 2,54,45,122.12 crore, Chouhan said in the tweet.
