BSP: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi says BSP leadership has sold its party to Akali Dal Ludhiana News – Times of India

Partapura (Jalandhar): Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday accused the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leadership of selling the party to the SAD after it decided to field Akali leaders from their strongholds. Channi, who joined the dissidents BSP Leaders from different constituencies during a state-level function said the Mayawati-led party no longer represents the ideology of Babu Kanshi Ram, which aims to empower the Scheduled Castes.

Addressing the gathering, local MLA and Sports and Education Minister Pargat Singh said that Congress leaders did not believe him when earlier he used to say that Captain Amarinder Singh was colluding with the BJP. “The captain’s links with the BJP and the Akalis have been exposed and now Punjabis will have to teach a lesson to this trio for betraying the state,” he said.
