BTS member Kim Taehyung aka V has set another record, courtesy of her Instagram account. The Winter Bears singer, who made her Instagram debut last December alongside fellow BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook, has crossed 40 million followers on the platform within 135 days. Many fans pointed out that this achievement makes him the fastest person to cross 40 million followers on Instagram.
The milestone fans are celebrating. Using the hashtag ‘#THV40MILLION’, fans showered congratulatory messages to the singer. “Cheers to all the records this guy keeps hitting! Congratulations Taehyung. Record set THV #TaehyungInstagram40M,” tweeted one fan. “People are drawn to you because of who you are. Beautiful both inside and out Congrats on Taehyung’s 40 million followers!” Another fan added.
“I am so proud of you Taehyung! You are truly loved, appreciated and respected all over the world! Many of that 40M look up to you as an inspiration and a role model! Those 40Ms are proof that your Honesty and love conquered hate! All that remains is who chose and loved you,” added a third fan.
Earlier, V broke the record for the fastest person to cross 30 million Instagram followers. When he made his debut on the platform, V became the fastest person to touch one million followers in just 43 minutes and within four hours on the same day, he crossed 10 million followers.
Taheung, who goes by the handle @thv on Instagram, follows only his fellow members on the platform and has shared 46 posts on his account. However, TaeTae is extremely active on the platform. V often shares and deletes pictures and videos on his Instagram Stories. Even when the group was on break, the singer used to tease fans with glimpses of his break.
The Christmas Tree singer also frequently comments on posts from his friends Park Seo-joon, Park Hyung-sik and Choi Woo-sik. Along with Peakboys, the actor and singer forms a group of friends known as the Voga Squad.
On the work front, Taehyung recently returned to South Korea with fellow BTS members after they successfully completed their four-day concert, Allowed to Dance on Stage in Las Vegas. The group performed every night to a packed house. He was also in Las Vegas to perform at the Grammys.
