BTS ‘V is no stranger to fame. Kim Taehyung has been in the limelight since her early teens and is facing worldwide social scrutiny. Over the years, the Korean artist seems to have acquired a Zen state. He is calm and composed in official outings, enjoying his time, touring the world and also ignoring all the dating rumors that come his way. But is he really cool and composed? Sit down with the BTS star and he says no. In fact, he sometimes admits to ‘pretending’ his calm state.
“I may look cool, but I don’t feel calm all the time. I just pretend to be,” he told Vogue Korea, “I try to think clear and hard in those moments so that I can act with confidence. I can make sure that the decisions I make are best for the situation, even if they are not ideal.”
Kim Taehyung also shared what the tough days are going through. It is those close to him and of course, his fans who keep him ‘happy and healthy’. Despite all the attention and acceptance, the BTS star knows what he’s doing. He has a sense of responsibility and aspires to be a person of high standards.
“Everything I do comes with a sense of responsibility, but I don’t feel sorry for what I’ve done. I want to be kind and well-acted toward everyone who loves me. We have members of the Army Fan Club, my BTS group mates, my family and my friends who keep me happy and healthy when I feel hurt and conflicted,” he shared in his interview.
V is the most followed BTS member on Instagram with over 51 million followers. Before making his charismatic debut, he was a “secret member” of the boy band. The agency wanted to surprise him. Fans around the world were unaware of their existence until Mnet’s M Countdown with the track “No More Dream” from their debut solo album, 2 Cool 4 School.
The 26-year-old is one of the most loved Korean stars worldwide and has released three solo tracks under the band’s name: “Stigma” (2016), “Singularity” (2018), and “Inner Child”. “(2020). In 2019, V released his first independent song, “Scenery”. Kim Taehyung has also tried his hand at acting. He appeared with bandmate Jin on the Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016) soundtrack.
