Union Budget 2023: Ahead of the Union Budget for the financial year 2023-24, citizens from a wide section of the society have expressed their expectations. The Union Budget, which includes the Railway Budget, will be presented by the Finance Minister on Wednesday, February 1. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget in paperless format this year as well.

Expressing their views and expectations regarding this year’s budget, people have urged the Railways to ensure cleanliness and safety. “Railways should see that train fares do not increase. Also, the increase in fares over the years should be controlled. While the platform ticket rate has been reduced from Rs 50 to Rs 10, we want to reduce ” Onward,” MD Sanjay, a passenger at Patna Junction told ANI.

Passengers excited about Vande Bharat train and bullet train project

The Vande Bharat train and bullet train project also generated a lot of enthusiasm among the passengers. Many believed that Vande Bharat trains should run from every capital of the country. Another passenger at Patna Junction station expressed hope that the government would soon announce the bullet train project and take more such initiatives in the years to come.

Passengers demanded more trains

Meanwhile, regular rail passengers also demanded more trains running across the country. To make it easier for students to take external exams, the students urged the Railways to run separate trains. They claimed that they often have to travel to other cities for competitive or other exams and find it difficult to book seats in regular passenger trains.

Women passengers said that the railway authorities should do more to ensure their safety. Passengers further said that the Railway Budget should also focus on ensuring better food arrangements in trains.

Meanwhile, housewives claimed that rising inflation is restricting their household budget and making it challenging for them to control their expenditure. They claimed that their problems were made worse by the rising prices of essential commodities like food and LPG cylinders.

It is to be mentioned here that after the budget speech of Finance Minister in Parliament on 1st February the budget document will be available through “Union Budget Mobile App” on Android and Apple OS platforms.
