On Saturday, alleged illegal properties of two persons accused of rioting were blown up in a bulldozer in Saharanpur, leading to stone pelting on June 10.

On 10 June also there were protests in Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur and Lucknow.

According to officials, the Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested 333 people from eight districts of the state and registered 13 FIRs in connection with the violence.

Earlier, addressing the ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’, Mr Pathak said that even though the Samajwadi Party improved its position in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, it has no future.

He said earlier there was terror of SP goons in the state and their job was to capture vacant plots and houses. That’s why the people rejected the SP in the election.

He claimed that both the SP and the Bahujan Samaj Party will be wiped out gradually in the state.

Targeting the previous governments at the Centre, Mr Pathak said that they only removed the poor and not the poverty.

He said that the previous governments were committed to benefit only one family and their family members, whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government takes care of all the poor.
