Buying Used Honda CR-V: Things To Consider

Honda CR-V has been in the Indian market since 2004. Now India has not been the recipient of all generations of the car and it is only the second, fourth and fifth generation models that have made it to the Indian shores. The fifth-gen model of the CR-V was launched in 2018 and we turned to the car to tell you exactly what a 7-seater it is. But now it is also available in the used car market and if you want a 7-seater SUV, you can have one. While the 2nd gen model is available for as low as Rs. 3 lakh, the 4th gen model will cost around Rs. 13 -15 lakhs. The 5th generation model is also available for around Rs. 29 lakhs and you will get a good deal for all the above generations. So let’s know about the advantages and disadvantages of used Honda CR-V

  1. The Honda CR-V is spacious and the cabin of the 5th generation model is very premium and yes, you feel that you are in a good car. Hence the SUV tends to be very premium and is good for the occupants as well.

  1. The 2-litre petrol engine produces 154 Bhp and is powerful and very sleek too. The engine is extremely sophisticated and it is great to have in such a big car and the 8-speed gearbox also gives you power when needed
  2. The CR-V handles like a dream. The chassis is so fine-tuned that you enjoy throwing it around and it won’t complain. The ride is sublime and comfortable and hence the riders enjoy it too

Shortcoming

  1. The 8-speed gearbox is not really for enthusiasts and if you thought the response would be similar to that of a dual-clutch transmission then you are wrong. Although the rubber band effect is contained, it is not completely eliminated.
  2. Now, we said the ride is great, but at low speeds, it feels a bit firm and you don’t like to be in that bandwidth because then in traffic conditions, it’s not the most comfortable.
