The results of the bypolls in four states have come as a setback for the BJP as the party has failed to win even a single seat. In West Bengal, TMC won both the Asansol Lok Sabha seat as well as the Ballygunge assembly seat by a huge margin. In Bihar, the RJD won the Bochahan assembly seat by an impressive margin. Similarly, in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, Congress candidates have outperformed their BJP rivals.
