The results of bypolls to seven assembly seats in six states (Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Haryana, Odisha and Bihar) will be declared on Sunday. The fierce battle is between the Bharatiya Janata Party and regional parties such as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Biju Janata Dal (BJD). The BJP has won three seats in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, while the RJD has retained the Mokama assembly seat in bypolls to seven assembly constituencies in six states.
Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav wins from Andheri (East)
Rutuja Latte of the Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray won the Andheri (East) assembly by-election in Maharashtra.
BJP’s lead over BJD in Dhamnagar
According to Election Commission (EC) trends, BJP candidate for Dhamnagar bypoll in Odisha’s Bhadrak district Suryavanshi Suraj has a lead of 4,845 votes over his BJD rival Abanti Das.
BJP’s victory in the Gopalganj assembly by-election in Bihar
BJP retained the Gopalganj assembly seat in Bihar by defeating RJD.
Bhavya Bishnoi of BJP has won from Adampur assembly seat.
Bhavya Bishnoi has retained the stronghold of the Bhajan Lal family. Bishnoi won the Adampur by-election in Haryana on Sunday.
Bishnoi defeated Jai Prakash of Congress by 16,388 votes.
The bypoll was necessitated after Kuldeep Bishnoi, the younger son of former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal, resigned as MLA and switched from Congress to BJP in August.
The Adampur seat has always been occupied by the Bhajan Lal family since 1968, with the late former CM representing it on nine occasions, his wife Jasma Devi once and Kuldeep on four occasions.
Gola Gokarnath seat: BJP candidate defeats SP rival
BJP candidate Aman Giri won the Gola Gokarnath assembly by-election by defeating his nearest rival and Samajwadi Party candidate by over 34,000 votes. According to the Election Commission official, the final votes are being counted.
Bypoll results: BJP ahead in 4 out of 7 assembly seats
According to the initial trends of the Election Commission, BJP is leading in four out of seven seats. The party is leading in Gopalganj in Bihar, Adampur in Haryana, Dhamnagar in Odisha and Gola Gokarnath in Uttar Pradesh.
BJP candidate Aman Giri is leading by 1,22,460 votes in the UP bypolls.
Party’s Suryavanshi Surja is leading by 31,108 votes in Dhamnagar assembly seat.
Bhavya Bishnoi is leading by 51,964 votes in Adampur assembly seat of Haryana.
At the same time, Kusum Devi of the party is leading by 70,053 votes in Gopalganj, Bihar.
RJD wins Mokama seat in Bihar
Bihar’s RJD candidate Neelam Devi has won the Mokama assembly seat that fell vacant due to the disqualification of her husband Anant Singh after he was convicted in an Arms Act case. Neelam Devi secured 77,077 votes and defeated Sonam Devi of BJP by 16,611 votes.

RJD has taken lead in Mokama seat of Bihar. Neelam Devi is leading over BJP’s Sonam Devi by 12,152 votes.
“My victory was certain. I had already said that there is no one else to match me. It was just a formality. Mokama is Parashuram’s land, people will not come in greed. MLA ji (Anant Singh) served the people. They are giving results now,” said Neelam Devi.
The Mokama seat fell vacant after RJD MLA Anant Singh was disqualified following his conviction in an Arms Act case. Mokama has been Anant Singh’s stronghold since 2005. He won the seat twice on a JD(U) ticket. Singh contested the 2020 elections as an RJD candidate and retained the seat. But he was disqualified from the assembly after he was convicted in a criminal case.
BJP candidate leading by 25,000 votes in UP’s Gola Gokarnath seat
BJP candidate Aman Giri took a comfortable lead of nearly 25,000 votes over his nearest rival in the Gola Gokarnath Assembly bypoll on Sunday as the counting of votes proceeded.
While Giri has got 73,371 votes so far, Vinay Tiwari of Samajwadi Party has got 48,739 votes so far.
Odisha bypolls: BJP ahead in Dhamnagar seat
BJP candidate Suryavanshi Sooraj registered a lead of 3,261 votes over his BJD rival Abanti Das after early rounds of counting for the Dhamnagar bypoll in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.
Suraj got 18,181 votes in the first four rounds of counting, while BJD candidate Abanti Das got 14,920 votes. Congress candidate Baba Harekrishna Sethi got 557 votes.
BJP behind in Mokama in Bihar and Munugode in Telangana
The Bharatiya Janata Party is trailing in Bihar’s Mokama and Telangana’s Munugode as counting of bypolls to the three assembly seats is underway.
BJP’s Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is marginally behind TRS Kusukuntala Prabhakar Reddy. As per the current trend of Election Commission of India, TRS candidate is leading by 21,589 votes while BJP candidate is trailing by 21,174 votes.
At the same time, BJP candidate Kusum Devi is leading over RJD candidate from Gopalganj in Bihar. BJP’s Kusum Devi is leading by 22,045 votes and RJD’s Mohan Prasad Gupta is trailing by 21,176 votes.
However, RJD candidate Neelam Devi is leading from Mokama seat. Neelam Devi is leading by 53,763 votes.
BJP’s Sonam Devi is trailing by 40,228 votes.
Bihar by-elections: RJD ahead in both Mokama and Gopalganj seats
The main contest in Bihar is between BJP and RJD in Bihar.
RJD’s Neelam Devi is leading by 42,603 votes from Mokama assembly seat in Bihar while Mohan Prasad Gupta is leading by 9,268 votes in Gopalganj assembly seat.
Notably, Mokama has been called Anant Singh’s stronghold since 2005. He won the seat twice on a JD(U) ticket.
BJP has given ticket to Kusum Devi, wife of sitting BJP MLA Subhash Singh.
BJP candidate leading by 10,000 votes in UP’s Gola Gokarnath by-election
Aman Giri took a comfortable lead of over 10,000 over his nearest rival as the counting of votes in the Gola Gokarnath Assembly bypoll went ahead on Sunday.
Gola Gokarnath is part of Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s Lakhimpur Kheri parliamentary constituency.
Mishra has been in the grip of a storm since the death of four farmers during the violence in October last year. His son is an accused in this case.

According to the latest trends of the Election Commission, Aman Giri of BJP is leading by 53,071 votes from Gola Gokarnath seat. Samajwadi Party’s Vinay Tiwari is trailing by 38,402 votes.

Telangana Rashtriya Samithi candidate Kusukuntala Prabhakar Reddy is leading by 6,418 votes in Munugode constituency. BJP’s Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has got 5,126 votes so far.
Haryana Bypoll Updates: BJP’s Bhavya Bishnoi ahead in Adampur seat
Bhavya Bishnoi is leading by 10,778 votes in Adampur seat. Jai Prakash of Congress is trailing by 8800 votes.
Bihar bypoll trends: RJD ahead of BJP in both seats
RJD’s Mohan Prasad Gupta is leading by 2,713 votes in Gopalganj seat. BJP’s Kusum Devi is trailing by 1,798 votes.
In Mokama, RJD’s Neelam Devi is leading by 22,756 votes, while BJP’s Sonam Devi is trailing by 15,032 votes.
Rutuja Ramesh leads by 7478 votes in Andheri East by-election
Ramesh Latte’s wife Rutuja Latte, Shiv Sena candidate (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), is leading from Andheri East assembly seat. He has been pitted against six independent candidates.
In May this year, polling for the bypoll, which was required due to the death of Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Latke, was held on November 3 with a low turnout of 31.74 per cent.
Odisha bypolls: BJP ahead in Dhamnagar seat
According to the website of Election Commission of India, Suryavanshi Suraj of BJP is currently leading from Dhamnagar assembly seat by a small margin. Suraj Biju is contesting against Abanti Das of Janata Dal

Haryana: Counting of votes begins for Adampur by-election
The Adampur bypoll was necessitated after Kuldeep Bishnoi, the younger son of former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal, resigned as MLA and switched from Congress to BJP in August.
Here, the saffron party has fielded Bhavya Bishnoi, grandson of former chief minister Bhajan Lal. Bhavya is the son of Kuldeep Bishnoi.
Whereas Congress has been a Union Minister Jai Prakash, three-time MP from Hisar and two-time MLA.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had fielded Satendra Singh, who had quit the BJP.

The Mokama seat fell vacant as RJD MLA Anant Singh was disqualified after being convicted in an Arms Act case, while the Gopalganj bypoll was held due to the death of BJP MLA Subhash Singh.
BJP leader Kusum Devi is pitted against RJD’s Mohan Gupta from Gopalganj. In Mokama, BJP candidate Sonam Devi is pitted against RJD’s Anant Singh’s wife Neelam Devi.
