Cabinet: Jagan will induct 13 new faces in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet on April 11. India News – Times of India

Amaravati: The 11 MLAs who resigned from the Andhra Pradesh Council of Ministers on April 7 will be re-inducted as Chief Ministers. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy restructured his Almirah Here on Monday.
The reconstituted cabinet will have 13 fresh faces while one veteran will return after a long hiatus. Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan A Raj Bhavan release said the resignations submitted by 24 ministers were accepted on Sunday evening.
According to the rules, the Andhra Pradesh cabinet can have 26 members, including the chief minister. The new cabinet will be formed on Monday, with the governor administering the oath of office and secrecy to 25 members in a ceremony beginning at 11.31 am. The names of the cabinet ministers who took oath on Monday were not officially released but the chief minister’s own media houses. Witness Release the list tonight.
Sakshi later made a change and came up with a new list, which sources in the ruling YSR Congress said “could be final”.
veteran legislator Dharmana Prasad Rao From Srikakulam district, who had earlier served as a minister under various chief ministers, Jagan’s new cabinet is being replaced by his elder brother Dharmana Krishna Das, who was deputy chief minister (revenue). Amjath Basha Sheikh Bepari and K Narayana Swamy, who had served as deputy chief ministers in the previous cabinet, will also be inducted again.
Seniors like Botsa Satyanarayana, PRC Reddy, P Vishwaroop and Bugna Rajendranath are being given a new chance. S Apala Raju, Ch Venugopal Krishna, G Jayaram and T Vanitha are also getting second chance due to caste count.
As the name suggests, the composition of the new cabinet clearly indicated that Jagan He came under pressure while choosing his new team to lead the party in the 2024 general election. Jagan went back on his word of replacing “90 per cent of the current ministers” and giving “opportunities to newcomers” as he is set to retain at least 40 per cent of his first cabinet. The cabinet change also created discontent in the YSRC, with several senior legislators expressing their displeasure over being denied cabinet berths.
In fact, seniors like Balineni Srinivas Reddy, who recently stepped down as minister, showed no signs of calm when Jagan’s envoy SRK Reddy sought to pacify him when he refused to continue. One of Jagan’s relatives was upset not more than leaving the Balineni cabinet but re-inducting A Suresh, a colleague from Prakasam district. At one point, Jagan accedes to Balineni’s demand and removes Suresh from the list, instead offering the slot to Thippey Swamy, the later uncle of Sri Sathya Sai district.
After this, however, Jagan included Suresh’s name in the fresh list, which was a cause of great concern for the Balinese. Party sources say this was to ensure representation in Prakasam district, otherwise it would not have been represented in the new cabinet.
Senior MLAs like Pinelli Ramakrishna Reddy, Kotamareddy Sridhar Reddy, Samineni Udayabhanu and many others were also upset over the exclusion.
In Macherla, elected representatives of local bodies, because of their allegiance to Pinelli, threatened to step down if their leader was not given a cabinet berth. Three-time MLA Sridhar Reddy said he would continue to travel with Jagan, though he was upset over the denial of a cabinet berth.
