Cabinet of Curiosities Twitter Review and Reactions: Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has managed to give fans the best Halloween gifts ever with his Netflix horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosity. The eight-part show recently started airing and fans of the genre are finding it really cool. Del Toro can be trusted to deliver in the horror genre. He has mastered practical effects and special makeup in Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy and now brings his horror sensibilities to OTT.
Cabinet of Curiosities: What is the new show about?
Cabinet of Curiosity is a collection of eight phenomenal and genre-defining horrifying tales designed to challenge traditional notions of horror, from macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically spooky. Of the eight stories, two are del Toro’s original works. Several other prominent directors of the genre have also been associated with the series. The first two episodes of the series—Lot 36 and Graveyard Rats—are streaming now and have impressed fans.

Episode 1 Lot 36: A story about a man (Tim Blake Nelson) who buys a storage unit to pay a debt collector, but gets more than he bargained for.
Episode 2 Graveyard Rats: The story of the grim robber (David Hewlett), a cemetery caretaker, gets locked in a battle of the wills with the titular rodents.

Halloween is near and fans of the horror genre have been stunned by Cabinet of Curiosity. Responding to the new show made for the season, a Twitter user said, “I was amazed by the first two episodes of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosity. Incredibly strong and gruesome horror anthology in the vein of EC, The Great Monster Backed by Design work by Guy Davis and generous amounts of humor and gore. A gift to me (sic) in particular.
Another said, “The first two episodes of Cabinet of Curiosity were both solid. Graveyard Rats made me incredibly claustrophobic (sic).”
