Can Covid cases be zero? What do Indian-Americans say US Surgeon General

When will the fresh Covid-19 cases in the world drop to zero? When will we be mask free again? These questions have been bothering us every day since the beginning of the pandemic. But the answers to these are still quite unclear. Indian-American physician Vivek Murthy says that we were looking at the victory over Kovid-19 with a contrasting perspective.

“It’s really important that we point out that success doesn’t equal any matter,” Murthy said in an interview. political. “Success looks like very few people in the hospital and very few people dying,” Murthy said.

“Vaccines work, he emphasized. Conclusive cases remain rare, some life-threatening,” he said.

Murthy also says that vaccinated people underestimate the risk posed by the coronavirus and those without vaccinations underestimate the risk.

Murthy also pointed out that the situation is particularly dire in areas of the country where vaccination rates are low and there is compliance with the guidance on wearing masks.

“This is the developing dichotomy,” he said. “It’s almost like living in two different Americas.”

There are reports of zero ICU bed capacity remaining in many hospitals across the US. Many hospitals are treating almost twice the number of ICU patients they have space for.

According to the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the current seven-day moving average of daily new COVID-19 cases in the US was over 150,000, up 4.9 percent from the previous week.
