Dr. Eileen Cande, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center in Mumbai, told News18 that fenugreek benefits you but should be consumed in limited quantities. The dietician also mentioned that though the quantity to be consumed varies from person to person and depends on whether one is consuming fenugreek seeds or fenugreek powder or not.

Dr. Kande told that if the person is healthy then he can take 8 to 10 grams of fenugreek seeds or powder. Anything more than this can be harmful.

He mentioned that consuming excessive amounts can lead to stomach-related problems including diarrhoea, acidity and bloating. It can bring down the blood sugar level, which can be more harmful.
