Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav is creating controversy for allegedly distributing money among villagers ahead of panchayat elections.
A 21-second video was uploaded on social networking sites by JD(U) MLC Neeraj Kumar on Friday morning alleging that such a deliberate attempt was made on the part of Tejashwi to woo voters in the upcoming panchayat elections.
“Who is that prince who is dropping money in the lap of poor villagers. Since the poor villagers do not know him, someone says that he is the son of Lalu Prasad Yadav. The person sitting in the front seat of the SUV also introduces himself as Tejashwi Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Neeraj Kumar further said that the video clearly shows the difference between the poor and the rich. He was arrogantly sitting inside the SUV and distributing currency notes to the villagers.
As opposition leaders have been accusing of disproportionate assets, Neeraj Kumar said: “Distributing money to poor villagers will not clean your image as a dacoit. You have made fun of the poor people of the state.”

IANS does not confirm the time and location of the video. This was tweeted from the official Twitter handle of JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar.
However the timing of the video on the public platform is very important as the nominations for the panchayat elections are currently underway and the model code of conduct is in force in the state.
Tejashwi Yadav had reached Gopalganj in Baikunthpur block on Thursday to attend the 10th death anniversary of former MLA Devdutt Prasad.
