Cannes 2023: Festival starts today, Indian stars will set the red carpet on fire in the coming days!

Like every year, Cannes Film Festival will mark the best of fashion and cinema this year too.

Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious international film festivals held annually in Cannes, France. It screens a wide range of films from different genres and countries, including both feature films and short films. The festival attracts renowned filmmakers, actors and industry professionals from across the globe.

The most prestigious prize at Cannes is the Palme d’Or, which is awarded to the best film in official competition.

As well as the official competition, Cannes also includes parallel sections such as the Director’s Fortnight (Quinzine des Relicteurs) and Critics’ Week (Semen de la Critique). These classes showcase innovative and emerging talent, providing a platform for new voices in cinema.

Also, from India, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan will lead the Indian delegation at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. She will be joined by some of the biggest names from the world of Indian cinema on the red carpet in the French Riviera.

According to reports, Murugan will wear traditional vesti instead of western outfit on the red carpet. The red carpet will have the national flag on the left and the G20 logo on the right.

“The embroidery on the shirt is done by my local tailor. It is a matter of great pride for me to wear the tricolor on my chest. Since we are doing so many events and showcasing our legacy in the G20 year-long plan, it is only fitting that we let the world know about it,” he told ANI.
