Captain Amarinder will meet Amit Shah today on his third visit to Delhi in a month as he races to form his own party.

Amid speculations that he is set to launch his own political party and may even forge an alliance or seat adjustment with the BJP in the poll-bound state of Punjab, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday met Amit Shah in Delhi. ready to meet. Sources told News18 that Amarinder Singh is likely to discuss with the Union Home Minister ways to end the farmers’ agitation against the central agriculture laws.

After quitting the Congress on September 18, citing “insults” by the Congress leadership, Singh had met Shah at his residence in Delhi, sources close to him said “all his options are open”.

Sources in the saffron party had earlier told CNN-News18 that the party is “willing to work with the captain, but needs to reach a resolution on the farmers’ protest”.

After resigning as the Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh had said that he felt “humiliated”. Later, he also called Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra “experienced”.

He had also threatened to field a strong candidate against state party chief and his arch rival Navjot Singh Sidhu in the coming assembly elections. Soon after resigning, he called Sidhu a drama master and a dangerous man, accusing him of treating the new chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi like a “super CM,” just nodded.

According to a press statement issued by a colleague summarizing his interaction with the media, he also claimed that Punjab is now being run by the party from Delhi.
