Hyundai Motor India also registered a sharp decline in exports.

The decline in sales is mainly attributed to the semiconductor shortage issue which has disrupted not only the Indian auto industry, but the entire auto sector globally. In its official statement, the company said, “The global semi-conductor supply constraint remains a challenge resulting in reduced production across the industry.” So the declining sales is mainly due to production cuts due to semiconductor shortage issue.
