Carrot Gnocchi: This delicious recipe is a great way to incorporate carrots into your diet

You must have heard of Gnocchi. Traditionally, it is a diverse family of dumplings in Italian cuisine. They resemble small pieces of dough, usually round or similar in shape, that are first boiled in water, and then tossed with different sauces. Now, nutritionist Pooja Makhija has tried to give a delightful and healthy twist to gnocchi with a recipe. He has shared a video on Instagram showing the recipe of Carrot Gnocchi. This is a very useful dish, especially since winter is the time to load up on carrots. This vegetable improves eyesight, immunity and digestion. How to make Carrot Gnocchi?

Step 1: First peel the carrot and cut it into pieces. Now you can blanch or pressure cook them. Take pieces of boiled carrots and mash them all together.

Step 2: Add Some Ingredients to Your Mashed Carrots. Add grated garlic, chili flakes, oregano, salt and pepper. Add corn flour (it is a good binding agent) after wheat flour or millet.

Step 3: Knead them in the dough. Roll into pipes and cut them into small pieces (squares). Roll with the back of a fork to make a pattern of gnocchi.

Step 4: Steam the square in water for about 7-10 minutes (add salt and fried herbs to the water to enhance the taste)

Step 5: Add the Gnocchi to the Sauce of Your Choice. Here they used pesto sauce.
