A case has been registered against a BJP MLA for releasing some pictures and videos of the victim in the Hyderabad gang rape case.

He said that based on a complaint, accusing M Raghunandan Rao of disclosing the identity of the minor girl by sharing photos and a video clip, the BJP leader was booked under section 228-A (disclosure of identity) of the IPC, he said. it was done.

On June 4, the BJP MLA claimed at a press conference that the youth in the purported video was the son of an AIMIM MLA.

Alleging that the AIMIM MLA’s son was involved in the gang rape, he had said that he had more evidence to prove the connection of the “MLA’s son”. However, he said the girl’s face was not visible and the survivor could not be identified from the clip.

On May 28, a teenager, who had gone for a day’s party at a pub in Hyderabad, was allegedly raped by five men, including three minors.

He said the girl was sexually assaulted in a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) after the suspects offered to drop her home in the vehicle.

So far four people have been taken into custody in the case.

Police are on the lookout for another accused who is absconding. One of the teenage boys accused of the incident is said to be the son of a ruling leader.
