Case against three teachers of Bala Yesu School, Hindupur City for forging signatures of Sri Sathya Sai District Education Officer (DRO) to obtain voting rights in the election of Member of Legislative Council (MLC) for teachers of West Rayalaseema Has been recorded. Voting is to be held on 13 March.
In-charge Divisional Revenue Officer Saujanya Lakshmi found discrepancies in the signatures during scrutiny of the applications and lodged a complaint at Hindupur II-Nagar police station. Circle Inspector Venkateswarlu said cases were registered against the teachers- A Hazrambi, Geetha Lakshmi S and Sharif Amin.
Meanwhile, Ketan Garg, Returning Officer of West Rayalaseema Graduates’ constituency and District Collector in-charge of Anantapur, said that 388 polling stations have been set up in six districts under the Cuddapah-Kurnool-Anantpura West Rayalaseema Graduates’ constituency.
