Hubli: If the case of alleged corruption is not handed over CBIMahadayi activists have threatened to go on an indefinite strike at the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited (KNNL) office in Dharwad.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Viresh SobardamathThe president of Raita Sena Karnataka (RKS) said that there has been a huge scam of thousands of crores in KNNL and Irrigation Department. “We have collected all the documents related to the scam and will release them in phases during our indefinite strike,” he said.
He claimed that the state government continued with step-motherly treatment to the North Karnataka region. “according to this nanjundappaAs per reports, the office of the Managing Director of KBJNL was to be shifted to Almatti. Despite the Karnataka High Court’s interim order to shift the KBJNL office within a week, the government remains apathetic.
He further said, “The elected representatives are citing legal hurdle in implementing the decision of Mahadayi River Water Tribunal. They are trying to keep the issue alive only for political purposes. hectare, then the Central Water Commission (CWC) will allow the Mahadayi project to be implemented. We can use 4 TMC of water as per the decision and the central government has also issued a notification in this regard. Had there been legal hurdles, the central government would not have issued the notification.
