CBSE Board 10th, 12th result likely to be released in May 2023, check update

CBSE Board Exams 2023: Class 10 answer sheet evaluation around April 16, while Class 12 evaluation was completed in the last week of April

central board of secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the class 10th and 12th board exam results in the month of May. However, CBSE has not yet announced the official date of result declaration. After the result is released, students can check it on cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. The evaluation of Class 10 answer sheets was completed around April 16, while the evaluation of Class 12 was completed in the last week of April.

As per the past pattern, CBSE Class 10 and 12 results are likely to be declared on the same day but a few hours apart. The date and time of declaration of results will be intimated by the board on its social media pages before the announcement.

Students who appeared for class 10 and 12 board exams can check their results through DigiLocker apart from the official CBSE website. Candidates can also use SMS and UMANG app to access their CBSE results.

For Class 10 & 12 Board Exam 2023 were conducted by CBSE from February to April, The 10th and 12th examinations started from 15 February. Class 10th ended on 21st March and class 12th ended on 5th April. This year, more than 38 lakh students appeared in the CBSE 10th and 12th examinations. The number of students who appeared for Class 10 and Class 12 exams were 21,86,940 and 16,96,770 respectively.

CBSE Board Exam 2023: Passing Criteria

As per CBSE rules, A student must have secured 33 percent or more To pass the board examination in each subject. Students must also obtain passing grades on their internal and external papers. Unless exempt, a student can only obtain a passing certificate if they obtain an “E grade” or higher in each subject that forms part of the internal examination.

The results of external examination will be withheld for one year only if one does not qualify in the internal or external examination. In the event that a candidate qualifies all the internal assessment examinations, yet fails in one of the five subjects of the external examinations, he/she will be required to appear in the compartment examination for that subject.
