CBSE Class 10 exam result: Acid attack survivor tops school with 95%

An acid attack victim and the daughter of a Chandigarh peon has topped her school by scoring 95.02 per cent in the CBSE Class 10 exams.

According to information, 15-year-old Kafi’s father works as a peon in the secretariat. When she was 3 years old, her neighbors attacked her with acid out of jealousy.

After this her whole face got burnt and she was hospitalized for 6 years, where she lost her eyes. After this Kafi is studying in Braille script and has secured 95.02 per cent marks in class 10th.

When asked about her dreams, she said that she wants to become an IAS officer and make her parents proud.

Kafi thanked his parents for their support and said that his success is due to the mental support of his parents and the guidance of his teachers. Kaifi also cited YouTube and internet which helped him a lot in preparing for the exam.

Expressing her happiness, Kafi’s mother said, ‘Kafi is good in studies and I am proud of it. It has given us an opportunity to walk in the society with our heads held high. It is a matter of pride for us.
