Center may ban Popular Front of India

The central government is likely to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI), which has been blamed for violence and communal tension in parts of the country during Ram Navami last week.

Sources said that the government may take a decision in this regard this week. This comes after the Madhya Pradesh BJP chief alleged that stone-pelting incidents during Ram Navami celebrations in Khargone suggested a pre-planned conspiracy by the PFI.
