Kylian Mbappe was included in the squad of Paris Saint Germain against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the last-16 of the Champions League on Tuesday After attending training at the Parc des Princes, although his involvement in the conflict was still in doubt.
The France forward, who was initially ruled out for three weeks on February 1 with a hamstring injury, was on the pitch with his team-mates on Sunday and Monday.
Coach Christophe Gaultier said on Saturday he would take ‘zero risks’ with Embappé.
Lionel Messi and influential midfielder Marco Verratti are also back from injury.
“I can tell you that the team that plays tomorrow will not look like the team that played against Monaco,” Galthei told a news conference.
“Kylian did a full session today. I didn’t think he would be on the pitch tomorrow. We decided he would train with everyone today.
“We are not yet sure whether he will be on the match sheet or not, we will decide tomorrow after discussing with him and the medical staff.
“If he is on the match sheet, he will play.”
PSG in bad form
PSG have been in poor form recently, losing 3-1 at Ligue 1 Monaco on Saturday for their fourth defeat of the year in all competitions.
PSG will have to raise their level significantly against Bayern.
“We have this ability (to switch into Champions League mode). I have a lot of belief in myself. I know what I’m capable of. I’m humble,” Neymar said.
“It’s an important game tomorrow and we’re ready for that fight. We have a great team to play tomorrow. I love playing these big games against big teams.”
“I know my team will rise to the occasion,” Galthey said.
“I don’t think Bayern are favourites. It’s 50-50. It’s a Champions League game. Nobody will qualify after tomorrow’s game. Bayern have been better lately and for some reason it’s not the case for us But I have a big team for tomorrow.”
