In an interview to a news channel, Charanjit Singh Channi was asked to respond to Kejriwal’s remarks that Congress made fun of Punjab. Replying to his counterpart’s comment, Channi questioned his dressing sense and said that please give him Rs 5,000 so that he can get a suit-boot.

“Tell me one thing, do you have Rs 5,000? Everyone has 5000 rupees. Give him (Arvind Kejriwal) too. He should get good clothes sewn (for himself). Doesn’t he have suit-boots? His salary is Rs 2.5 lakh and he can’t get good clothes?” Channi said.

Hitting back at Channi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Twitter, “If you don’t like my clothes it’s not a problem, but when will you fulfill the promises of your government.”

“Channi sahib, you don’t like my clothes. No problem. People like it. Give up the clothes. When will you fulfill these promises? When will you give employment to every unemployed? When will you forgive the farmers’ debt? The culprits of sacrilege Why not sent to jail? When will action be taken against tainted ministers, MLAs and officials? Kejriwal wrote on Twitter.
