Chef made 40 kg chocolate whale; leaves people in awe

Whether you have a dark fudge truffle, gooey brownie or even a decadent cake, chocolate is a delight in its purest form. This is the only flavor that will definitely never go out of style. But do you love chocolate so much that you can make a 40kg whale out of it?! Well, if that sounds impossible, believe it or not, a chocolate and pastry chef has done it! Chef Amaury Guichon is known for creating unique chocolate sculptures. His skill and precision of work has left people on the internet in awe! So, when the chef uploaded a video of his giant chocolate whale, he was bound to turn heads. In this recipe, he used 90lbs (40 Kgs) of chocolate, which took him four days to complete. The video of making a chocolate whale was shared on his official Instagram account.

In the video, first of all, the chef is seen melting a load of chocolate and shaping it to structure a whale. He then carved out the pattern by cutting out the borders and designing the whale’s fins, eyes, and tail. Finally, to texture the skin, she sprinkled milk and gray, blue-grain syrup all over it. The chef also used various tools like a welding machine, paper, chocolate sheets and chocolate clay to complete this project. Finally, when the whale parts were ready, he structured it together and created a realistic looking whale.

In his video, the chef wrote, “This huge 90lbs whale was crafted in 4 days using milk and dark chocolate, I love the realistic looking skin.” Have a look at the video:

Ever since the video was uploaded to Instagram, it has garnered over 7 million views and tons of comments! One user wrote, “I always get satisfaction watching your videos.” While another said, “Love you for your constant touch of excellence. While it was one of his creations that took everyone by surprise, the chef has also created seahorses, swans, lions and even many other things like the Statue of Liberty using chocolate!
