Chess Olympiad: BJP people pasted PM Modi’s pictures on Tamil Nadu government hoardings. Chennai News – Times of India

Chennai: State Unit BJP Started pasting pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tamil Nadu government propaganda billboards for 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad From 28 July in Mamallapuram
The hoarding has pictures of the Chief Minister MK Stalin and Chess Olympiad mascot Thambi.
Amar Prasad Reddy, state president of the party’s sports and skill development cell, and some party members started pasting the PM’s pictures on the hoardings.
“Hoarding without the image of the Prime Minister on Chess Olympiad is an insult to the nation,” Reddy said. He said it was the Prime Minister who gave Tamil Nadu the opportunity to hoist the international event at Mamallapuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“Therefore, we want to paste the PM’s image on the publicity material across the state. We have also asked the office bearers of our cell to follow the same and paste the PM’s image on all Chess Olympiad bill boards. We asked them to cover (without covering) any other image on the promotional material,” said Reddy, who put up the PM’s image on hoardings in Kotturpuram, Saidapet, T Nagar and adjoining areas in Chennai.
Earlier, he took to social media and posted a video pasting the PM’s picture on the hoardings of the Chess Olympiad. “Let me remind CM @stalin that our PM @narendramodi Awal is the only representative of this nation. Here we begin!!!,” he tweeted along with the video.
Within no time, DMK office-bearers and Dravidian stocks retaliated. “It was the Tamil Nadu government that made all efforts to secure the opportunity to host the Chess Olympiad and make all arrangements for the event. The Tamil Nadu government has spent around Rs 100 crore to make elaborate arrangements for the event. Rajiv Gandhi tweeted. He said that Narendra Modi was invited as the Prime Minister of the country at the opening ceremony of the international competition.
It may be recalled that BJP men walked out from a Chess Olympiad torch rally in Coimbatore for not mentioning the PM’s name by the organisers.
