While the first round of the tournament is to be held on July 29, the opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 28. The tournament will conclude with the 11th round on 9 August.

The tournament will be played in the classical format. Players have to make 40 moves within 90 minutes. Players can offer their opponent a draw at any time of the match.
