However, Pujara’s innings went in vain as Sussex trailed by four runs while chasing Warwickshire’s target of 310 for six on Friday.

In total, Pujara hit seven fours and two sixes during his innings. He was dismissed by Oliver Hannon-Dalby on the first ball of the 49th over as Sussex were bowled out for 306 for seven.

Pandya took three wickets
Spin all-rounder Krunal Pandya, who turned up for Warwickshire, played a key role in his team’s victory as he made amends for his two-ball duck with three wickets in hand.
Pandya returned with figures of 10-0-51-3, taking the wickets of Ali Orr (81), Tom Clarke (30) and Delray Rollins (11).
Earlier, Robert Yates smashed 114 off 111 balls while Will Rhodes (76) and Michael Burgess (58) scored fifties to take Warwickshire to a total of over 300.
