Despite the claims of development, there is no drinking water and pucca road in Sanamandra village of Balrampur district of the district. No government took cognizance of the problems of the villagers. Residents of Sanamandra village are forced to drink contaminated water in the absence of hand pumps or wells in their villages. They have to fetch water from far-flung sources. Generally, the burden of collecting water falls on women.
