Two pilots died in a helicopter crash in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur.

Two pilots were killed when a Chhattisgarh government helicopter crashed in Raipur late on Thursday night. The SSP said that the two pilots in the chopper were seriously injured in the accident and were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where they were declared brought dead.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prashant Agrawal said that the incident took place during flight exercise at around 9.10 pm at Swami Vivekananda airport under Mana police station area of ​​Raipur.

The deceased have been identified as Captain Gopal Krishna Panda and Captain AP Srivastava, a police officer said. The cause of the accident was not immediately known.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took to Twitter to express his condolences. He tweeted: “Sad news of a state helicopter crashing at the airport in Raipur. In this tragic accident, both our pilots Captain Panda and Capt Srivastava tragically passed away. God bless their family members and the departed. Rest in peace. Soul in this time of sorrow.”
