Chief Minister Stalin launched the novel ‘Mukhyamantri Breakfast Scheme’ in Madurai

Through this scheme, every student will enter the classes after filling their stomach,” he said.

The important breakfast scheme comes after 102 years, when the then President of the Corporation (mayor) of Justice Party P. Thiagaraya Chetty approved a proposal to provide tiffins to students of a corporation school in Thousand Lights, Chennai. Mr Stalin urged the authorities to take utmost care of the children and treat them as their own, while he asked the students to focus on their academics and reach higher positions in life. He said, “Education is the only asset that no one can take away from you, so students should study well without any worries because I am here to support you.” The scheme will be launched in 1,545 schools across the state from September 16, benefiting more than one lakh students, an official release said.
