Shivamogga/Chikkamagaluru : Female Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) chikkamagaluru A complaint has been lodged against a worker alleging harassment.
The officer has said in his complaint that the accused had put his pictures on his WhatsApp status. He recently denied informal information she had asked about the department.
Talking to TOI, the officer said that the accused Chittappa Yaranal, Shivamogga Citywas allegedly harassing her to release compensation for the damage caused by the elephant attack in Chikkamagaluru. He said that he would call her late at night and abuse her. “He posed as an activist and protested in front of the forest office. Two days ago he put my picture on his WhatsApp status, which was seen by our staff,” the official said.
“Women officers like me are facing a lot of harassment from activists like her and outsiders,” she said in the complaint.
The woman officer said that the police, instead of taking necessary steps to remove her photographs from the position of the accused, asked her several questions while receiving her complaint.
Talking to TOI, Shivamogga SP BM Laxmi Prasad said that a case has been registered and search is on for the absconding accused. ,Jaynagar Police in Shivamogga city is still collecting information about the absconding accused. We will check his mobile with the evidence produced by the forest officer.”
