Children’s Day 2021: Five tips for students to improve their speech

Children’s Day is celebrated annually on 14 November to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Pandit Nehru was born on this day in 1889. Known as Chacha Nehru, he shared a special bond with children and hence, November 14 was declared as Children’s Day after his death in 1964.

On this day, schools across the country organize various programs like plays, fancy dress competitions, picnics, speech competitions and other cultural programs for the children. If you or your child is going to address a crowd on occasion, here are some tips to improve your speech.

Introduction: After greeting the students, teachers and guests, explain why Children’s Day is celebrated only on November 14, which was celebrated by Pt. Nehru. Talk about Nehru’s special attachment to children in your speech. Talk about his contribution, his views on the development of children.
