China eases visa restrictions for stranded Indian students after a delay of over 2 years

In a major relief to Indian students wishing to go back to China for their studies, the Chinese Embassy in India has announced plans to issue visas to Indian students stranded after a delay of more than two years due to the COVID-19 restrictions. .

The Chinese Embassy in India has updated the “Application Process and Content Requirements of China Visa”, which will be implemented from August 24, 2022.

Here’s everything you need to know

I. Online Application and Appointment

Please visit the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in New Delhi (https://bio.visaforchina.org/DEL2_EN/) and fill in your detailed and correct information on the Online Application Form and Confirmation page. Then make an appointment with your application form number following the system instructions.

Second.fingerprint collection

1. Submit all required documents in person and retain ten fingerprints at the Chinese Visa Center in New Delhi at the time of your appointment.

2.The following applicants may be exempted from fingerprint collection:

A. Applicants below 14 years of age or above 70 years of age.

B. Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the last five years at the Chinese Embassy in India or the Chinese Visa Center in New Delhi with the same passport.

c. Applicant with all fingers mutilated or uncollectable.

III.application material

1. Common Application Materials for Visa:

a. Visa application form of the People’s Republic of China.

B. Confirmation page of the online visa application.

c. Original passport valid for at least 6 months, with 2 or more blank visa pages, and photocopies of relevant pages of passport.

d. Passport expired within 5 years and photocopies of relevant pages of passport.

e. Two recent color passport photographs (full face, front view and bare head. Size: 48 mm × 33 mm).

F. Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination with verifiable QR code.

G. Indian Long Term Residence Visa or Work Permit (for nationals of a third country)

h. Other essential materials required for the Chinese Embassy in India and the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in New Delhi.
