China reports 2,106 new Covid cases for October 9 versus 1,925 a day earlier – Times of India

Shanghai: China reported 2,106 new Covid-19 infections on October 9, of which 434 were symptomatic and 1,672 were asymptomatic, national health commission said on Monday.
This compares with 1,925 new cases a day earlier – 503 symptomatic and 1,422 asymptomatic infections, which China counts separately.
There were no new deaths, as of the day before, keeping the country’s death toll at 5,226.
As of 9 October, mainland China had 2,53,575 confirmed cases with symptoms.
Capital Beijing Local government data shows that 13 local symptomatic cases and three asymptomatic cases were reported, compared to six local symptomatic and two asymptomatic cases on the previous day.
