NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday arrested a Chinese national, who was allegedly living here illegally for two years, and his Indian girlfriend for sheltering him in Greater Noida, according to officials.
Chinese national Xu Fei alias Kelay, 36, and his girlfriend Petekhrinuo, 22, from Nagaland, were arrested from a hotel in Haryana’s Gurugram, officials said.
They were held on the basis of information provided by two Chinese nationals, who were arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on the Nepal-India border in Bihar on Saturday after they illegally stayed in India in the Himalayan nation. I was trying to cross. , said the police.

He said Kelay and Petekhrinuo were living in a housing society in Greater Noida, but had fled to Gurugram when they learned that the police had started a search for them.
“They were traced by Beta 2 police station of Greater Noida in Gurugram and both were taken into police custody this morning.
“During investigation it emerged that the Indian visa of the Chinese national had expired in June 2020. He had forged the documents to make the figures look like 2022,” Pandey said.
Additional DCP said, “He has violated laws related to visa and forged documents. He was also assisted by his Indian girlfriend who gave him shelter during the process. An FIR has been registered against both of them under relevant provisions of law.” ”
The official said that the Gautam Buddh Nagar police is coordinating with other government agencies regarding the matter and further legal action is being taken.
Police said the two Chinese nationals arrested on Saturday have been identified as 34-year-old Yung Hai Lung and 28-year-old Lou Lung and both had spent 15 days at Jaypee Greens Society in Greater Noida without valid documents.
A senior official said Kelay and Petekhrinuo ran a mobile phone parts business in Gautam Buddh Nagar and nearby Ghaziabad.
The official, citing preliminary findings, said that it was the Indian woman who arranged the SIM cards for the two Chinese nationals residing at his residence.
