Citadel review: Priyanka Chopra, all spunk and flair, hits the ground running

A superfast train speeds across the Italian Alps. Two elite spies trained to take down the instigators of war are on a mission. A Russian agent on the train has a bag containing highly enriched uranium. There is an all-round confrontation. One wrong move can spell big trouble for the pair. it happens.

train and what happens – and – it sums up citadel to perfection. It’s going to be all or nothing. It helps that the leads lead into action and come up trumps. The remaining four episodes of the series, created by David Weil and executive produced by the Russo brothers, will be released on four consecutive Fridays in May. If the story so far is anything to go by, the rest of the season – and the ones after that (citadel has been renewed for a second season) — will be worth the wait.

They have the Citadel X-Case containing a wealth of classified information and technology, which could mean the difference between the revival of the spy agency and its total destruction.

Now it’s up to Bernard Orlick (Tucci), of the fort Technology experts to recover and protect what is left of the agency’s assets. He inevitably turns to Mason, who goes looking for Nadia. It’s a trans-Atlantic voyage fraught with danger – and hope.

It’s been eight years. Mason, with a new name and identity, lives with his wife Abby (Ashley Cummings) and daughter Hendrix (Kaolin Springall). He has no memory. She is desperate to know who he is as Hendrix wants to hear stories from her father’s past.

Visions of a woman haunt Mason. If I know who he is, I can know who I am, he tells his therapist. The search puts the man – and his once-trusted companion – on a collision course with the Manticore, who is out to push the world over the edge.

The puzzle pieces are familiar and the action tropes are anything but basic, but citadel There is a building that is so tall and solid that it does not collapse quickly under the weight of expectations. There is a lot more to the show than just Priyanka Chopra. Who is complaining?
