Rahul Assistant Ambulance Operator in Military Intelligence and posted in Goa. The couple’s adopted daughter Komal had a love affair with Rahul. Police investigation also revealed that Komal is a distant relative of Rahul and Rohit, while both are close relatives of Komal’s aunt.
Police sources said, “Police have left for Goa in search of Rahul.” On Wednesday, the police sent Rohit and Komal to jail.
Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena said that Komal alias Akanksha killed her step-parents with the help of her boyfriend’s brother Rohit, a resident of Barra Karrahi area of the city.
During interrogation, both revealed that Komal had an affair with Rohit’s brother Rahul. “The trio had hatched a conspiracy to kill the couple in the greed of property. Rahul is posted in Military Intelligence in Goa. A police team has rushed to arrest him,” Meena said. Rohit with a shady past used to drive an e-rickshaw in the city. Komal was often with her, but her parents were against her intimacy with Rohit.
Komal had told the two brothers about her step-parent’s wealth which included two houses, two plots, a shop and four ‘bigha’ of agricultural land, resulting in the lure of the property. About four months back, Komal and Rahul had hatched a conspiracy to kill the couple.
Police said Komal on Wednesday confessed to killing her parents with Rohit’s help and also confessed to having sex with her before the murders.
“We have arrested Rohit from Bhognipur area of Kanpur Dehat on Wednesday afternoon. Rohit had confessed to killing the elderly couple on the instructions of Rahul.
